Course content:
You will develop skills in Word, a powerful and easy to use word processing application.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
Create, save and open documents.
Edit text - using basic editing methods.
Format Text
Move and copy blocks of text.
Align and indent text - to create various types of paragraphs Use advanced editing (search and replace, spell check, thesaurus and word count).
Insert page number, headers and footers, footnotes, automatic date, manual page break.
Insert and re-sizing an image.
Change margins, the size and orientation of a document.
Use basic manipulation of toolbars, zoom, views and the ruler.
Preview and print a document.

Step by step instruction, demonstration, computer use, exercises and printed notes.

All students have access to our fully equipped state of the art learning centre. This included free internet access. Handouts, online access, free library access.
Assessment:
You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the course you and your tutor will review the progress you have made.
